Faith Celebration Fellowship

In building the newest version of our church website we wanted to provide our members a “church without walls” that would foster the same spirit of worship, learning and discussion that exists in the physical church. The team decided on WordPress as a powerful content platform but we wanted something more for our members than just a blog that they could read. Many forum options are out there, but very few integrate with existing WordPress logins and we didn’t want people to have to create two user-names to use the forums.

After checking out the other options we realized that Simple:Press is by far the best. For the admins it is easy to install and maintain, and for the users it is simple to interact with one another. The online help that comes with the plugin is superb – easy to read, and reliable. Through use of the template tags we were able to integrate latest discussion summaries into other areas of the site with minimal effort – which really helps to build a sense of community on the rest of the site, not just the forums. In fact, all the ways that Simple:Press integrates into WordPress as a whole (including nice clean URLs) is very nicely done.

We are proud of our new site, and Simple:Press is a major part of making it effective. We highly recommend Simple:Press to anyone else who needs a simple, robust forum system to integrate with their blog.
