A way not to display sub forum

I want a way that allows me to set up a forum that has 5 or 6 head forums and once clicked they open up many more forums in each head forum.

For example on the forum main page you have 5 titles of forums, once clicked the subforums of that open up. I do not want them displayed under the main head forums like they do at default.

I know this can be done with the sub forums but it does not solve the problem of having a really long list of forums.

I have different user types and ideally they would have their own sections.

 

Can this be done?

I think I follow you.
The bottom line is that just about anything can be done. But SPF doesn't do that.

Hmm this is exactly what I was looking for as well.I have a long list of forums but only want the groups to appear at first. But have them link to the forum

So basically it can be done but not as a built in option?

Would there be a way to change the the code to represent what newbeatsmedia and I want?

you can go into the sf-view-forum.php code, function sf-render-forum() and make the changes as you would like them… there is no built in option for this…
