Hi – do you know if it is possible to limit the length of the post box displayed and have it expand when a read more button is clicked?

sorry, not currently possible… guess you could probably make the spoilers work for that, but it would be a manual process…

what would the purpose be for such a feature?

My client feels that it would make scanning down responces easier. He is also not thrilled w/how much space the profile on the left causes the min height of a post to be. I've been doing some customizing to reduce it. BTW – Thanks for creating and sharing this plugin.

One other thing – could you elaborate what you mean by using the "spoilers" – I'm not familiar w/this

spoilers are for hiding information and requiring a click to see the info… typically, used to not reveal or spoil information a user might not want to see, such as a plot of a move…

This is an example of a spoiler…

Reveal Spoiler

So, now you now what a spoiler is.

It will do what you want, but again, is manual and each post written
would need to use it…  I doubt it would really work…

 

I can open a ticket for consideration of your
request for a future version as I could see how some folks would find it
useful…

its there by default… its the smiley face looking icon with sunglasses on…

for it to be available, you have to select the text you want to be in the spoiler first…
