Is there a way to force all the user accounts to always syncronise SPF profiles with WP, to keep nickname the same etc.?

yes and no… no direct way in spf to force display names (which is what spf uses), though we hope to implement it real soon… but users can optionally force their names to stay consistent in their spf profile…

allowing the names to be different was requested way more (by at least an order of magnitude) users than those who wanted them forced the same… in fact, the first request came a few months ago – hence the ticket, just havent implemented it yet..

some of the other fields (ie first name, last name, location, description, etc) are already kept in sync and the same…
