forums/board-name does not exist...

Sorry for my fast approach, here, but I'm simply too fed up and tired to do some research right now.

I've got a file named forums.php, located in a directory forums/ inside the first wordpress folder. (togheter with all wp-admin and that). The file looks up the page and prints the forum nicely, but when I try clicking a board/forum, I notice that the URL bar gets forwarding directories that – well – does not exist. Is there a way to update the database for just such events, or do I have to create them myself?

The question is WHY have you got a file named forums.php, located in a directory forums/ inside the first wordpress folder? This wont work with SPF…? I don't understand what you are trying to do…

I'm trying to get this forum system to work. Is there some kind of permalink template needed?

You didn't answer my question. You are clearly having some sort of problem and doing something strange but it might be useful to explain what if we are to advise. We need detail.

permalink template???  are you trying to create a custom wp page template?  if so, that file would go in your wp theme directory…  you do not need that forum directory or the file…  pretty permalinks (those extra directories you refer to) are automatic and a little black magic (url rewrite) and dont require any directories set up… in fact, if directories exist, they will conflict and cause 404 errors…

I got it right, eventually. I was just making it harder than it really was.
