How to Use Avatars with Profile Entry Mode set to Other URL

Hi,

I'm using the DAP membership plugin integrated with Simple:Press.

In order to control access, I must use the DAP profile page and I've set this page under Simple:Press/Admin/Profile Options/Profile Entry Form Mode/Use 'Other' URL/

However, this Other URL does not have an image or an avatar capability and I would like my Simple:Press forum users to be able to change or add a gravatar/avatar/or profile pic.

Is there a way to include the WP gravatar or Simple:Press avatars within a custom Other URL?

Are you able to add code to this page? There are SP template tags available that can return a members avatar so at least t could be shown. Uploading is a different matter however. All this really needs to be coded or part of the target page. Mind you, if you settled for gravatars or the WordPress avatar option then uploading becomes a non-issue….

I think Gravatars would be fine. This can be coded on the target page. What needs to happen specifically? Thanks!

take a look at the avatar related template tags in our wiki – 'Plugin API' section.

Also set your avatar priorities in the forum admin 'Profiles > Avatars' section. I would suggest using the WP Avatars option which will, in turn, use Gravatars anyway.
