Hi, I installed simple:press  4.3.2 with WP 3.0.0 on IIS6.0.

When I created a post in Chinese, and make its title also Chinese. It cannot read that post and return something like"there is no such posts named %A4%40" ( or more entities, depend on the length of title).

I search on the web, seem that IIS 6.0 has problem of processing Chinese character.

The same problem appeared on the wordpress at first, but i can change the permalink format of the post, so I can avoid the problem. However, it seems that the same option do not appear in simple:press?

Thanks

The same option IS available in SP. Firstly we make use of the core WP routines but we also provide a unique filter. You can find details here: http://wiki.simple-press.com/p…..t-filters/

I am not familiar with the concept of content filter.

Can I use this filter to ask simple:press to set the permalink of the post using post id?

Or  can I create a hash of the title string like creating the short name of the board?

edit:content_filter seem to do things with "content",can it due with "title" of the post also?

You are looking at the wrong filter. You should be looking at the 'sf_create_slug' filter. This allows you to take the generated slug and modify it as required.
For how to construct filters you need to look in the WordPress Codex.

Is there any way I can change the link format of simple press such that it access the post using post_id but not post_title?

like this

http://www.domain.com/wp/123

not

http://www.domain.com/wp/passage_title

Thanks

not really sure about your example…   in your 'not' example, that would have to be a forum, not a post…

no afraid not…  first time anyone has requested such a thing… the vast majority want pretty permalinks and not seo poor and default style permalinks…

We have, over the years, had quite a thriving community of Chinese users. Would it not be a better approach to try and resolve this problem at the root – i.e., the server? Surely if IIS is resposnible for the problem then moving to an Apache server woud be the best option. I would have thought that WordPress would not be the iny problems showing themselves.
