I'm putting a "Recent Post" section on my front page and I'm using the recent_post_tag code

 

It's working fine but I'm looking to be able to format it a bit more. Like right now the code comes out as

 

Post Title

Posted by name and date

 

I'd like

Is there somewhere i can actually format it better for my site?

I guess you will probably need to look at the code and even create your own version if you want it radically different. Also make use of the CSS classes defined as documented in the wiki.
