Hi everybody,

I've this strange issue with translation.. I've downloaded the italian .po file and I've updated the translation to this:

#: simple-forum/forum/sf-page-components.php:1363
msgid "New/Recently Updated Topics"
msgstr "Argomenti Nuovi/Aggiornati (in rosso)"

but this translation doesn't show up, I keep reading only "Argomenti" in the select for the New/Recently Updated Topics .. am I doing something wrong? is that the wrong reference for that line?

Dealing with this topic.. I enable to show the 3 latest topic on top of the forum, but I see them only if I'm not logged..is there a way to show them even when logged?

Last questions are there other way to show recently updated topics?

Thanks,

Andrea Smile

I will have to let Andy weigh in on the translation question…

As to the other questions…

please read our wiki discussion on the definition of admin unread posts vs user latest topics. As admin, you are probably seeing the admins new post list and not the latest topics. check your admin options (forum – admin – your options)… its possible to get both, but you must be using the admin bar and have the unread posts displayed… or disable the admin new posts queue on the admin options (forum – admin – global options)

also, there are several template tags available for displaying recent posts and other spf info.  see the wiki for info on the template tags.

Editing the PO file will not change the transation used by SPF. The PO file has to be 'compiled' to produce a new MO file which is the one actually used. MO files can not be edited directly. You will need to download a copy of poEdit (poedit.net – free), load your changed PO file into that and then save it. The MO file will then be automatically regenerated.
