Hi, I just implemented the (very nice, thanks guys!) SP forum at http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..um-pilates.

When registering, just after filling the username, email address and the equation capcha fields, should there be a notice to inform the member-to-be that an email is being sent containing a link to click on in order to confirm registration?

Because at the moment, there's not, you're just redirected to the forum page… Anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be mucho appreciated!

registrations are wordpress…  it does not use a oonfirmation process…  you register and get an email sent to you with the login info…  you can find other plugins for wordpress that will alter the registration process…

you can set the redirect location upon registration if you like… see forum – components – login and registration…

Thanks for the prompt reply Mr. Papa! Unfortunately I misunderstood your response and as a result lost the default URL for New User registration link in the registration / connection page, could you please give it to me? I entered a page that I thought was going to come up after the new member sent their details… Doh.

Never mind I found it! Now, I just wanted people to be redirected to this page

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..tion-forum

after sending their username, email address and capcha confirmation, is there any way to do that?

And another question… I just noticed that the URLs of the registration and the connection links of the blog have been overidden by the URLs of the registration and the connection links of the forum…

The links to the forum is http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..um-pilates and the link to the blog is http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..lates/blog

So people cannot register with the blog anymore – any ideas how to solve that?

Sorry for the confusion, let me try again.

The URL I re-input for the registration when I fixed it is:

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..view=forum

it redirects to:

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..rum/policy

which is just what it should do so all is hanky dory on that front.

registration link and connection link: it's the urls that the SP 'registration' ('inscription' in French)  and 'connection' ('connexion in French') link to, ie:

registration:

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..view=forum

connection:

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..view=forum

blog: the main page of Wordpress is the forum page.  It is located there:

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..um-pilates

The blog is located there:

http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..lates/blog

The blog is the WP install installed as a subdir, just as the link structure of the links above show.

problem: When the 'inscription' (registration) link in the right column of the blog page is clicked (this page: http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..lates/blog), it doesn't take you to a WP registration page as it should and used to, but to the registration page of the forum (which then redirects to the policy page, just like when you click on the registration link of the forum).

Please let me know if I'm still being unclear – and thanks a bunch for your help!

The link behind that registration on the sidebar is:
http://www.pilates-sur-equipem…..n=register

Surely the /forum-pilates/ should be removed? Or am I missing your requirements here?

Thanks YS, I forgot to say that the website itself is not wordpress – only the forum and blog. The wordpress subdir has been renamed forum-pilates, and as the wp-login.php file is inside it, the link you show is named correctly…

Then I suspect there is your problem. Having a folder the same name as a url component (in this case a page) can cause WP all kinds of confusion.
