we would too!! Not as easy as it sounds! But, we do have an open ticket to do it. Likely wont make into 4.1, but maybe the next version.

There was some talk a while back about WP adopting a search plugin/extension written by someone under the GSOC scheme. That looked promising and I think we could have hooked into it but it seems to have gone quiet on that front at the moment.

I really hope this happens some day soon. I was trying to code a search integration with mediawiki and the more I learned the more I saw how hopeless it is to hook into Wordpress' search. Not too happy with wordpress right now actually; I'm considering the developer friendly drupal but that would be a LOT of work to switch over and maybe the grass really isn't that much greener. Hopefully I don't have to do that.
