Hi,
I have started using simplepress on my well estabished website. My website theme has an inbuild SEO which is outstanding and my every new post comes up in first 5 of the google results.
I expected the same SEO for my forum topics but they do not appear in search engines at all.
Do i have do something special . I already checked the SEO option on the forum
when google crawls your site and finds your forum page, assuming your seo theme stuff includes wp pages, it will self discover the rest of the forum pages… your theme seo probably isnt smart enough to self discover the forum pages… how does it notify search engines?
we dont notify google or other search engines directly, but work in concert with the wp google xml sitemaps plugin for instant or queued notification…
my forum page gets pulled up nicely in google but not the topic pages ..
looks like i will have to add another SEO plugin to make the sub pages pull up in google
any suggestions
not sure why google wouldnt self discover… its certainly does a lot of that….
as mentioned, if you use the google xml sitemap plugin for wp, it adds all the forum and topics pages to the sitemap and notifies, google, yahoo, and others and points them to the sitemap…
