Is there a option of selecting an alternate registration method for users

Currently in Simple Press…You see users registration has

USERNAME

EMAIL ID

after that password is sent to email id.

Most users find it hard to digest the complicated passwords (as far as I noticed on my forum…so dey forget to login and keep it for the future to check)

Is there a way the registration wud be like >>

USERNAME

PASSWORD

If not choice of registration fields will be a useful option for d future

Registration, passwords, login – these are all WordPress. If you want to change that then there are plenty of plugins that can help. 'Register Plus' is one that I know allows the user to choose their own password.
