I just activate the "report spam" funcntion on our forum.

But I can't understand who and where can see the notification…

…The spam report is sent to the moderators or the forum admins right?

…isn't supposed they receive an email (like that on new messages)?

If so… well they don't receive anything (even if they receive the "new message" email notification).

Oris there other palces to check for spam notification?

Thanks for your help

Stefano

Do you mean the 'report post' button above each forum post? That is a feature that allows a user to report a post to the admin that they find questionable in some way.

Yes I mean that button.

What I can't understand is HOW the post
is "reported" to the admin.

I am the forum admin but i don't
receive any email nor any other notification when a user clicks on that
button and fills the "report post" textarea…

Do you confirm that
I should receive an email?

yes, when a user uses the report post button, they fill out a form regarding why they want to report the post and an email is sent to the forum admin. as with all emails sent, they are sent by wp not spf…

I would check the settings on forum – options – email settings and make sure they are valid, if using…

also, if on a shared host, would consider adding an smtp plugin for wp such as HGK smtp for alleviating wp mail issues…

Thank you Mr Papa.

It's strange because I can receive any other forum notification email (like "new post" etc)…

I'll double check my forum settings… any hint of something very specific of this feature?

No this is very specific and simplified. Note that all email uses WP email handling. We do very little to this particular one in terms of formatting.

I think I got the "error"… not an error at all in fact, but a wrong assuption…

reading the code that sends the email I understood that the email is sent only to the "blog admin", as specitfied in General options in WP,  and not to all the FORUM admin or moderators…
