how can you change width of add new topic and reply boxes?

i have width of 425 for blog posts and when I install the forum the add new topic box does not fit…

as a result I can add a topic headline but can't add content in the editor.

 

1. is there a way to edit the add new topic box so it will fit.

2. any other options?
