How to Safely Move Forum from /forum to homepage?

I would like to move my forum, which is currently at the default /forum, to the homepage.  My blog is currently on the homepage, and I would like to move my blog to /blog.  I am using Simple Press version 4.1.3.

 

How can I make this move without messing up my existing forum and blog links?  Thanks!

thats a wp setting…  wp – settings – reading…  just set your home page to be a static page – in this case the forum page…

but the last part is confusing… the forum MUST be part of your wp install…

Can you please elaborate on the second part?  I installed the forum as
the instructions said to.  In my case, the forum information can be
found in the wp-content folder.  Does that meet the "part of my wp
install" requirement that you mentioned?

i am having trouble with this actually .. i wanted to make the forum actually my wordpress home page.

 

i changed the settings as told.  reading -> static page to forum..

 

when i did that it works my forum is shown in the home page.. but when i click on the forums it redirects me to 404 error page..

pls check into this asap

Did you update the forum permalink on the admin – wp integration panel?
