A number of times now, I have noticed "ahah error: 0 OK" appears at the top of our main admin panel. And when it does, clicking on any admin panel only causes the pretty new progress blocks to scroll, and scroll, and scroll, and scroll. I also notice at that time that rolling over any admin panel link displays the same page in the status bar (i.e.; …/admin.php?page=simple-forum/admin/panel-options/sfa-options.php#) and clicking the panel links does nothing.
Slapping things around by navigating directly to an admin panel in a new browser page will usually get it to load without the error. Any thoughts?

dang Jim, would you quit bugging us! lol.. jk of course…
strange message… have you looked in your server error logs to see if there is any other info?
it means we got a funky html status message back… we expect a 200 or 400 status… but in this case, we got a 0 message (which is not even defined), which doesnt really make sense. and the ok message text is odd too..
But I'm only trying to reach that Top Posters slot!
Will check the logs and grab a screenshot next time it happens. Thanks.

. Steve is right though… there IS no error code zero so it is pretty strange. Look forward to hearing if there is an explanation in the logs.
See if you can make any sense of this, from my cPanel error log …

I don't think these are related to the ahah error I get, since the ip addresses indicate they were generated by search bots. But I looked and there is indeed no such sf-ahahprofile.php file anywhere in spf directories.
I find nothing related to simple-forum in my wp-content/error_log.

One more thing… not sure if it's browser related or not, but I was just getting the error and endless progress blocks in Firefox, so I jumped over to Safari and was able to navigate all the admin panels just fine.
Then … back in FF, things worked again. So it comes and goes. :-/

no, but there was in 4.0.x…
have verified that we dont try to reference the old location, so likely a bot that has been there before. you shoud really have a robots.txt file that prevents bots from scanning non content directories (ie wp-admin, wp-includes, wp-content, etc)
dont think its related either though…
Update: I disabled Gears in FireFox – thus turning off the WordPress Turbo tool – and have not had the error navigating any of the SPF Administration sub-panels!

Wishful thinking I guess … the problem persists in Firefox.
No ahah error in Safari.

OfflineActually – I have been giving this a lot of thought and I can't recall any 'general' AHAH being used in the admin with a few exeptions (Help panels, add/remove users in usergroups, create new forum and the toolbox mainly).
We will soon be releasing a mainly bug fix update (4.1.1) that changes the eway the admin forms are called becase a few people had some problems. Be interesting to know if your probem goes away should you choose to upgrade.
