If you guys have been following this thread

http://simple-press.com/su………e-problem/

progress is being made on this apparently, same issue…  in both cases in that thread, the jsquery file cant be loaded.  try your jsquery file and see if you can load it in the browser (replace simplepressforum.com in the url below)

http://simple-press.com/wp………ery-132.js

do you load and see the contents of the file?  or do you get an internal 500 server error like those two users?  the question is why cant the jquery.js file be loaded?

the 500 errors should be creating entries in you server error log, so it would be nice to know the details.

Also, it seems ovizi got around it by deleting the .htaccess file in the simple-forum directory, so i would try that too.

I can load this file by url, presumably the query in its entirety. Starts with …

sorry, not following… its not wp version specific, but spf version… and there is a handful of servers that dislike the .htaccess file for some unknonwn, odd reason. So far, vast majority like it and it does what its supposed to do – prevent directory indexing.

do appreciate the resolution though as its helped a couple of other folks!

So guys, I have a regulare wp 2.8.4.

Btw I can't load the jsquery file as suggested, but I've tried to delete the .htaccess in the simple-forum folder and I now I can see the jsquery file, upgraded succesfully the forum, I can't see it but I think this is a problem of some plugin I've installed.

But now I've succesfully upgraded it.

If you need me, just gimme a shout.

Thanks to the authors for the support, you great.

I found the problem by myself.

I'm using a plugin for the login iredlof-ajax-login-plugin.2.3.1 and there is a conflict with Simple Forum, so I deleted this:

<?php echo string_limit_words(strip_tags(get_the_excerpt(), '<a><strong>'),20); ?><span class="continue" style="float:right;"><a style=" float:right;" title="Permanent Link to <?php echo(get_the_title($rpost->ID)); ?>" href="<?php echo(get_permalink($rpost->ID)); ?>"> Read More …</a></span>

and the Forum appeared again.

Now I'm really happy, great Forum Plugin, I love it!

AHAH! So 4.1.1 was actually already available. D'oh!

I guess I should say, however, No Ahah! The mysterious "0" error is now gone and I have no problem navigating all admin sub-panels in Firefox. But what I should really say is … Thank You!

Member topic search issue is also now resolved, and I see the post permalinks now link to posts.

All is good. Cool
