To be honest no. There could be lots of reasons – not enough php memory perhaps; a javascript conflict with another plugin – even a php conflict; a corrupted file from the upload could also cause it.
You really need to lok at the error log and see what it reported when you loaded up and got a blank – that might give us a clue.

You can try and get WP to do it for you.
Open up your wp-config.php file for editing and BEFORE the include of wp-settings.php add the line:

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

this will attempt to up your php memory from what is probably the standard 32MB to 64MB.

But this might not be the problem of course. And what I meant above was you need to check in your servers error log whichb will log all errors your site encounters. You can usually access this via whatever control panel your host provides (cPanel, plesk etc)

When I take sites to repair, I look at the site, figure how long it would take me to build from scratch, and calculate that by tripple for looking over someone elses work.

Generally this gives me a rough time line for decoding previous work, figuring out if it's correct or needs repairs, and coding the repair as needed.

Unfortunately, unlike auto repair, there is no catalog of parts a programmer can order from. NAPA Auto doesn't carry a server query routine. One, generally has to be manufactured from scratch.

Fortunately applications like WordPress are making this statement less true. Some solutions are off the shelf plugins and Themes.
