Hi,
We are using Wordpress 2.9.2 (not MU) and Buddypress. We are trying to get SimplePress installed but are having no luck. Files have been uploaded, plugin has been activated but when we go through the install process, it says it has completed successfully but when I click go to forum admin it just takes me back to the installation page. It doesn't create a new page for the forum or anything.
ah, good to know… some things dont cache well, like our ajax type installation and the dynamic content of the forum page…

Version of my wordpress is 2.9.2.
I have earlier uploaded simple-press forum via Ftp to the plugins directory.
After that I activated the plugin and tried to install but it displayed the message that simple press forum is being installed and did nothing.
And after clicking on forum admin panel it simply redirected to installation page and again the same thing happen.
could you please check your server error logs for more information as to why the upgrade isnt running? it could be somthing simple like a permission error or running out of memory (simple way to increase memory detailed in our wiki)

I have inresed the memory by reffering the wiki here. Still the problem remains.
On some what analysis more I got this.:–
Message: 'jQuery' is undefined
ui.core.js?ver=1.7.1
ui.sortable.js
common.js
hoverintent.js
And after clicking on perform installaion, Along with above errors I got this:–
Message: Object expected
wp-admin/admin.php?page=simple-forum/sf-loader-install.php
Please help….
Install requires jQuery. One of the most common reasons for the message 'jQuery' is undefined' is that another plugin – or your theme – is loading an older copy of jQuery when it should not be an the two versions are in conflict. You can easily check for this by looking at the source being generated and doing a search on '.js'.
