The most common reason for this message is because the user you are trying to add already exists in that user group. Are you sure this is not the case?

Yeah, I'm positive. I have about 18 people who are testing the site and I've tried adding them all at once and individually and I keep getting the same message. Right now, each of the user groups are empty.

If it helps at all, here is the actual page: http://bit.ly/coQGYK

OK – so, as this is a first time report on this issue, we are gong to need to work out where the problem actually originates.

Can you try two things?

First up go to Admin > Forum > Users and list your members. I need to kn ow of there s anything listed in the 'Membership' column.

Then – using Firefox, open and empty the Error Console – perform the add members attempt then go back to the console (Errors tab only please) tp see if any script errors are reported.

OK – can see where you have the problem but am not yet understanding why. Need to do some research first so will come back as soon as I can.

Well – most odd. We have found what looks like a piece of bad code which I am going to test a bit more thoroughly over the next hour and then, if correct I just need to know if you are happy to make a small code change.

It's odd because in finding this code it is hard to understand why everyone else has not had a problem with it – including us here!

So – assuming this works out to be the problem are you up for a code edit?
