Its as if, when new users is created, they dont get access to the forum

.. no "Write new topic" buttom … i can see that members IS correctly enlisted in the permission groups.

Mmm maybe the error is in the group/forum .. ive just added new groups and forums, setting permission to standard guest/read, member/standard, moderator/moderator etc. But when i try to access the new forums via frontend logged in as admin, i cant start new topic??

If i modify a forum changing it to a sub forum – then i can write a first topic in the forum. And then if i after that change it back from sub forum to regular forum .. then the forum works and i can write topics.

… strange!

Have you gone to 'Manage Groups and Forums' and checked the permission settings against each forum? Are they all filled in and correct?

yeah… and its only a problem when the forum is brand new and hasnt got any post in it yet. As soon as it has a post in it, its all good.

The strange thing is, if i change a stadard empty forum to a subforum, then i can write a topic ..

Is there a way to re-install it, deleting all DB tables etc? without having to manually delete tables and data?

If you want to remove absolutely everything then Admin > Forum > Toolbox > Uninstall. Or you can set it from the plugin page.

Ok, so found out.

If i create a new forum called TEST in backend and try to enter it in Frontend, it returns: There is no such forum named test

But if do any changes to the already created forum in the backend, such as changing slug or as i mentioned earlier changed it into a sub forum … it works.

so it seems as if the forum doesnt get created problerly at first attempt .. but you need to modify the forum in any way to make it work.

Are you running any sort of cache there? Like wp-cache for example?
