It saves data but but the page doesnt return to profile edit page or anywhere forward etc.
Running WP3 + Buddypress 1.2 + SPF 4.3
we finally ran this down Saturday as we were having a very hard time replicating it… it should be fixed in the next 4.3 release…
are you using an editor other than tinymce?
the fix we put in place is here if you want to do it ahead of time… 4.3 RC 1 should be released this week when WP 3.0 RC 1 is released..

Hi, I don't know if this has been solved yet but what I have found is that the JavaScript files to provide the ajax functionality haven't been included in the page.
What version?
if this is 4.3.1 then we have one other user with the same issue and that has been traced to a theme problem. I would suggest swapping your theme briefly to the Wp default (twentyten) just to see if that resolves the issue so that we know if we can discount the theme or not.
