OK my moderator has said that the forum is "painfully slow"…her words, when opening topics. Sorry guys if I cant get it sorted I may have to abandon SF for the standard WP one or summit. I will be losing members soon if not already.

Any other last ideas?

Surely all these errors in FF cant be good, there are 100's of them?

Warnings are not really that important. They are mostly CSS issues and they wil continue until all browsers play by the rules and standards. WP produces a LOT of CSS warnings in the console.
jQuery problems are major issues that do need to be addressed. Your system sounds pretty broken..
I have no more ideas. I have, as I said, an Italian user I am working with. he has the 'slow' problem for guests and for one admin. A second admin loads the page almost instantly. So there is clearly something to be found. At the moment he is trying to get to the server and php logs.
But I have no idea what we are looking for yet.

and thats part of the problem… we have many tens of thousands of users (might have hit hundred thousand – havent checked) and a couple folks (at least reported) with this issue.  makes trying to track anything down extremely difficult.  the best lead, is as andy says, the one site with one admin user fast and one admin user slow.  but that sort of fits with your site since it is very quick when andy and I visit it…

I think my next course of action is to reinstall Wordpress. Im worried about all the Jquery warnings etc and I have reuploaded the jquery folder but it had no effect.

Something strange is going on with the site Im sure, but the rest of site and most of forum loads slowly. Just as an observation this topic took a while to load from the email link!!

No yours unfortunately mine is slower than ever. the thing that is really confusing me is that the tinymce editor is not working. Ive reinstalled SPF again just incase I hade installed the RC1. But still nothing, tinymce has ceased to operate.

Ive also watched the error console on FF when loading the topics in the forum, it runs through the masses of warnings then the page loads thats why its taking 20-30secs because there is so many warnings it has to work its way through them all before it loads the page.

But after turning tinymce off and on again it broke completely – that I do not understand? What should I do? I dont particularly want to delete all WP files and reinstall as, I have everything the way I want it with plugins etc, but I guess its my last attempt. On a brighter note the website made £8 in adsense clicks yesterday…a new record for the site, although how much was from the forum I dont know, I cant see anybody using it in its present state.

Update:- just checked error console and Im getting an error to after fresh upload:

Error: tinymce.InlineWindowManager is not a constructor

Sadly I am as puzzled as you and can offer no explanation. This is not a problem we have ever seen before and it has been well over 4 years now! The ONLY possibility that comes to mind is some unknown conflict going on with something else you have installed. Normally I would ask a user to deactivate all other plugins to determne if the problem goes away but I believe you have already done that.

I think that is very unlikely to be the timing issue unles you have turned off the browser cache altogether… which is a good question actually. Is your browser cacheing?

Well you appear to have turned it off so there is no point in me looking. Sorry you have had al of these somewhat obscure problems. Something there on your server or sit clearly doesn't much like us.
