meanwhile. Does the ranking system interact with users starting topics (as it were posts)? Or does it have to be posts for users to be ranked for?

it works on posts…  whether its the first post in a topic or number x in the topic, it counts towards the rank…

Right. Let's end this thread now. It should be working on topics anyway for my setup. Thanks for the help though.

Greatings all.

 

I have the same problem (last SPF version, last WP version)

a) When a new user has subscribed, he is in User Group 0

b) now i've defined several user groups AND several user ranks:

i've set a first forum rank, up to 2 posts => User Group0

Second forum rank , up to 150 posts => User Group1

 

Once a user has wrote 3 replies in my forum (validated by moderators), he is automaticly switched to the 2nd forum rank, that is ok. But ! Problem is that he doesn't switch to User Group 1 and still in User Group 0.

 

Is there an option somewhere that disable "User group linked to forum rank"?

ok my bad laughi've been confused by the fact that User Group into a User Rank row, is defining what it will be for the next user rank (the next row)…

 

i've now defined as follow, and my user reach user Group1 once he made 2 posts:

Rank1    1post : User Group0

Rank2    2post : User Group1

Rank3 100post : User Group1
