Hi,

I just finish setup rpx log-in module provided by SPF, believe this cud bring more traffic to my forum in the future, Big Thanks to Andy & Steve.

Few notes for SPF fans
- I do require my forum user to input their First Name, and Last name and the name appearing is perfect.

- I deactivate the RPX plugin I use before, noted that the RPX feature embedded by SPF developer can perfectly work without needs of RPX plugin (think there's some conflict)

Since I learned that the SPF login, user names, user infos are integrated with WP main database. I found out that the way to log-in my main site (not forum page) still not convenience for my user.

User need to go to LOGIN >> put on their 3rd party ID >> press "go back to main site"

I tried around to redirect after login by using RPX to the main site URL for the case user log-on from the main page with objective to comment to the WP Blog Post (not forum), still not find any solution.

Another way around which interesting for me is to copy the SPF login module and use it for the main site. Please let me know if this is possible.

Thank you very much

Jessada (Thailand)

if you have rpx enabled within spf, you do not need another plugin. and it will put the rpx stuff on the standard wp login stuff too… if however you are running another login plugin, it may not work on those depending on how closely they used wp hooks/actions/etc.

Hi,

I just remove sidebar login plugin, not got only SPF take care of login stuff

It's great when using, login via forum page (www.fundmanagertalk.com/forum/)

but still not convenience if login thru the main page (www.fundmanagertalk.com)

So I wondering that if it's possible to use the login function on the SPF page for every page of my WP site

sorry, not following you… you say main log in on your front page, but I dont see any login…

If you go to the wp log in at http://www.fundmanagertalk.com…..-login.php, it does have the rpx stuff there… so where else do you want it?

It would be great if user can login to my front page (and every page) as the same way as when login on forum page. (dont need to redirect to wp-login)

please see some pixs on the link below to see where I wish I can place the SPF login module on

(the support forum do not allow me to attach more pix, think I'm over limit)

you can put a login form anywhere you like, including the front page… you just need to make sure it is doing the standard wp function of firing the login_head action and the rpx stuff gets added…

so where you display the login form, add this code php code

do_action('login_head');

this is the standard wp way of letting other plugins/themes/etc know that a login form is being displayed… does the sidebar login stuff you were using not doing that? you can add it pretty easily though depending on your sidebar width, it might not fit too nicely…
