I am testing and creating a second post to this forum. I am trying to link to an image on the internet.

After I do the math, I am directed to a white page that says: Forum not set – Unable to create post

Here is the page link: http://members.neothinkdev.com….._ahah=post

Here is the image that I am trying to link to:

that message means a forum id was not included in the attempt to save the post (which it probably was)…

historically, that message has been caused by the use of mod_security on your server… are you running mod_security?

Thank you for fast reply. I have no idea about mod security on my server. I use hostgator as my host provider.

I just tryed to post with an image link as admin and I received the same message.

It was working fine before as I have posted images in the past.

I have been changing settings on the forums. Is there a setting that can cause this?

no setting would cause that…  I would check with your host and ask them if they are using mod_security…  its the bane of developers…  it has so many false positves on urls…  they may be able to disable temporarily for you to test or create a whitelist rule for you…

Is there a whitelist rule that you can give me?

well, not really sure what is needed… wouldnt have mod_security (and dont) on any of my servers…

do they just need the url?

just mentioned that because other mod_security users have whitelisted their way past this, but never asked for more details… if you can tell us what they need, we can probably help…

I was having this exact same problem. It seemed to be an issue where I typed the post in Text Edit first and then I pasted it into the Forum. When I looked at my path it showed a whole bunch of div tags. I went into the html and removed all of the div tags and I finally was able to get it to post without receiving the same error.

Hope that helps.
