Wow sorry for the delay. They (Host Gator) gave me an incident number that contains the rule they put in place for that server. They told me each server could be different.
Their Tech Support is really up on this so each incident will require a call to Host Gators Tech Support. I have found them to be exceptional.
Ah… mod_security. Every web developers nightmare!
It's really good to hear that Hostgator are positive and responsive like this.
I had the same issue and found out that the following two lines caused it.
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^.*/index.php
RewriteRule ^(.*)index.php$ http://www.oldschoolvalue.com/$1[R=301,L]
I'm not sure why a redirect would do that but it did.
Is this just something wrong with my install that is conflicting with the htaccess?
