I've got my new forum setup but I don't see a link where users can register as a member.  What did I do wrong? :)

Thanks,

John

I have the register link now, but I've tried to register a test account and never receive the email after registering.

Any thoughts?  I've checked my spam

Emails are the province of WP in that they are all sent through the WP mail code and this is notoriously iffy at times. Check your email settings in the WP Settings panel and also check what you have set up for the forum on the options/email panel. Perhaps disable using the forum registration email to see if that helps.

and if you are on shared hosting, wp email can struggle… often an smtp plugin, such as hgk smtp, can solve the problem…

Disabling the forum registration email seems to have fixed this.  Thanks!

A few other questions:

How do I enable being able to post hyperlinks?  I am posting as the admin and it appears disabled.

How do I delete registered users?  (test accounts)

When I reply to a post the post box is cut off by my side bar, where can I go to adjust the settings so I can see everything I am typing?

Thanks again for all the help,

John

users are the realm of wp… you delete users from the wp users admin pages…

anyone can post hyperlinks… if you are using the bbcode or html editor, I believe we posted a patch file for an issue with that…

as to the post box, more than likely you are not giving the forum enough width – its not really meant for narrow spaces – too much info… so you have a couple of options… its actually going to be tinymce that needs the width with all its editor buttons…

o remove a sidebar and give the forum its just width
o change editors to bbcode, html or textarea that doesnt have all the feature buttons
o go to forum – editors – toolbar and remove some of the tinymce buttons you are not using
