When I create a forum, then click on it, it says:

There is no such forum named (forum name)

I can't seem to find the cause of this, as there must be a forum to show up to be clicked on.

It was solved by shortening the slug name

Well good news. But – was it really long? Could it have been a character in the title it did not like?

It was just normal text, though it did have 'rumors' in there spelt the American way, maybe it was upset with that? ;)

lol.. spelling wouldnt matter – as long as the slug and permalink matches… possible the permalink structure just needed refreshing…

Hi,

Sorry to bump this up, but I am having the same issue.  When you click on the forum, it says no such named exists.  However, if you go to the blog post and then click to discuss in the forums, the forum post is shown.  However, you hit the back to the subforum again and it says its not found.  Thanks in advance and the site is http://www.btccracing.com/forums

The important thing to note is that SP is creating the urls correctly. Hover over the forum on the 'front' page and you will see that it is correct.

This suggests – and no, I am not saying that this is not a fault in SP but it is a very rare report – that something in your environment is messing with the urls prior to SP procesing them resulting in a not found condition.

I think the first thing we need to examine is what other plugins do you have active. We know some that can screw up urls although that is usually inline links…

Odd because two of those plugins cause a lot of trouble (Google Analytical and SEO Smart Links).

Do you have access to your database and do you know how to look at table data?
