easiest way is for you to take a look in the footer template file of the default WP theme – that will show you how and where to place the code for the call.

Sorry for those of us who do not understand what you just said, and who took the time to install your forum, which is not working correctly, how do you add a call to the footer file. I am sorry that we all can not be technically advanced, and that I expect a newly installed forum to do something as basic as post a new topic.

Thanks,

Also on the new install when you click at acknowledge at the bottom of the page the normal popup does not come up, instead it takes you to a page on your site and shows you a full page of acknowledgement messages. I am pretty sure this is also an error. I am using the default theme, with bp2.1.

Thanks,

http://wiki.simple-press.com/i…..-is-empty/

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

Go to your theme and in footer.php just before the body tag add the above code. If you are unclear click on the link and scroll down to the bottom of the wiki.

This fixed the problem for my theme as well. I can see that the admins have had to deal with this a lot and I don't blame you for thinking that people should understand the lingo, but some don't.

Thanks again.

This is explained in our wiki – in the FAQ and there are many threads on this subject to search on. And my suggestion in post 5 above is pretty damn easy to follow if you just do it instead of resorting to sarcasm.

It is NOT an SP error. It is caused by theme authors who do not follow the few simple instructions for building a WP theme. In fact, the wp team themselves are so fed up with this being missed out in themes they are considering coding in a check for it – as are we.
