Hi,

I work in local mode on my computer (ubuntu + apache + mysql). I use wordpress 3.0.1.

I make a new install of simple:press 4.3.3, so :

  1. I download it from you site
  2. Unzip it in my /wordpress/wp-content/plugin directory
  3. I see it in my extension tab under my admin but …

When i want to activate it, i have the following error :

L’extension n’a pu être activée, car elle a déclenché une erreur fatale. (fatal error) Warning: include_once(/home/web/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-primitives.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/web/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/sf-control.php on line 77 Warning: include_once(): Failed opening '/home/web/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-primitives.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /home/web/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/sf-control.php on line 77 Fatal error: Call to undefined function sf_load_alloptions() in /home/web/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/sf-control.php on line 79

The /plugins/simple-forum directory is root:www-data with a chmod of 644 for all the files.

Can you help me ?

Well clearly all of the following errors derive from the first problem where access permission is denied. Are all of your folders set to 755?

Maybe you should be asking your host why ypou can not access thie file – anfd perhaps more later on.

Out of curiousity – what is an "extension tab under my admin"?

Currently :

All my wordpress files are root:www-data 644.

All my wordpress directory are root:www-data 755.

…erk No ! Some of simple-press directory are not in 755 ! I have modified this directory and … it works.

(How to change topic status to resolved ? i can't click on the resolved button.)

Thanks for your help

"extension tab under my admin" : i mean under my admin backoffice, the "extension" menu on my left. Maybe in english version of wordpress extension is called "plugin".
