Hi there! Hope everyone's doing well.

I'm having a problem with my forums at http://oceanarts.net. The forums wont display when logged out. I'm not at all sure what I might have done to cause this. I've not modified any code. I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thanks.Smile

Are you saying here that they were OK but something has changed that? Or have they been like this since you installed the plugin?
If the former then the obvious question has to be – what has clanged? Any updates? Plugins? Theme?
if the latter – then try this for starters: Go to the forum admin and visit the 'WP Integration' option at the bottom of the menu. There are two options beneath the page selection field. Try different combinations – i.e. one turned on, the other, both etc. See if that resolves the problem. This is an attempt to fix themes that sometimes (a) do something different if you are logged in or (b) display some sort of featured content before displaying the forum.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry, I didn't make myself clear. No, it has never worked properly. Messing with the settings you suggested did nothing.

OK – understood. We need to perform a process of elimination really. Could you switch your site to use the default Wp theme for just a minute? The new 'twentyten' one would be good. See if the problem goes away using that…

No probem – welcome to the forum as a member!

I am unfamilar with most of those plugins as it happens. I know we have heard of problems with the 'My Brand Login' before but I rather thought it was just display issues. But it would help to deactvate it briefly and try again.

The Cache of course could be a problem. SP realy needs tp be excluded from that as the data is NOT static.

Ater that I am unsure. We would usually advise to deactuvate plugins one at a time, re-testing between each one, which is the only true way of discerning whether there os a conflict.

It is worth noting that the forum header and footer code IS being run – it is the bit in the middle – (called using the WP function the_content() which will be in your template file) that is missing. So – do any of these plugins effect in any way the content of the page?

That did it! It was the My Brand Login. Guess I'll search for an alternative.

Thank you so much for your time, it is much appreciated. I'll get a donation through as soon as get som funds on my paypal account.

Thanks again.Laugh

Are you sure there is no way of excluding it on the forum page?
