Everything was going swell with our upgrade, then a user pointed out that links they put in a forum post disappeared when the post was published. The links appeared fine for me in Firefox (Mac). I edited her post and the code was all intact. Then I confirmed that the links indeed get stripped by IE8. Go figure.

The user says she has the same issue in Firefox (Windoze), but we cannot replicate the issue there. Only Exploder eats the links for us. Funny though that links within my signature in the same topic display just fine.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as apparently anyone viewing our forums  in IE8 currently cannot follow any links in posts. Confused

No other reports of such bevahiour so this is a bit of a surprise.
I don't see any links in that post either (Mac/Firefox). Am I supposed to?
Are you sure this is not just a permission problem and 'Can view links' is turned off for guests and members?

with andy… cant see links in any browser on pc in that post…  would check the option he mentions…

Sorry for the panic attack! Just discovered the new "View Links" permission before checking in here. I was confused when the user reported this because I could see the links, but then, I'm an Admin.

All is good now as far as I can tell. Care to confirm?

Thanks again. Guess I need to go review all the new features, options, permissions, bells and whistles now. Guess I also need to find something else wrong now too. The upgrade has gone pretty good for once!
