Okey, new errors this time. :)
*The frontpage slider animation disapeared. Just a blank empty space instead of an image.
* I could not login to the simple press forum. The forum did not respond to my clicks.
Converted back to original again.

OfflineOK – let's do this another way.
Can you please change your theme for a minute to the WP default 'twentyten' and try this again. See if it works with a 'clean', basic theme…

Hello YellowSwordfish,
I still did not have the chance to try out the standard wordpress theme yet, but i did upload the new simple press version today, and the loading problem remains. So i supose it´s theme related. It really suck to say the least.
I will write back as soon i tried the standard theme.
Cheers

ouch. Like other forum software why isn't there an option NOT to use the inline js/ajax features?
I'm also stuck on loading.
4 unsolved bugs in first 24 hours of using this. Will probable uninstalled if can't get past at least this

I just installed simple press for the first time and was having the same problem. The edit tools were forever stuck in "loading" when I clicked on them.
I managed to solve the problem by removing all of the document.ready functions in my functions.js file. I had some leftover code there from another template I was re-using. Didn't think those functions would get in the way, they were just some jquery functions to set up a simple photo rotation.
Anyways, wasn't using the photo rotation for this site, so I removed those javascript functions and now the JS for the edit tools loads fine.
Hope this helps.
it might, if those other js functions werent using no conflict… unfortunately, the continued proliferation of jquery raises chances for conflicts… jquery is good, but you get more conflicts with jquery than html…
I have the same problem. Loading stalls when trying to "Show edit tools". I've deactivated all plug-ins. The only error I get when clicking on the "Show edit tools" icon is:
Warning: Unknown pseudo-class or pseudo-element 'gt'.

What else can I check or where should I search to fix this?
