Just installed Simple Press to our website and encountering registration issues. We did add the plugin Register Plus.

When a new user registers for our forum, they are able to select their username and password during sign up. Once they register they are emailed their information.

The problem that new users are encountering is that when they try to login they keep getting a error stating that username is invalid.

When we check our profile for users, we do see them registered but when we check the users under the WP Users settings, they are all listed as unverfied. So we have to go and verify every user before they can login.

Is there a way to bypass all this and let them login once they get their username and password emailed to them?

You really need to ask the Register Plus authors. But – I do seem to remember that one of the RP settings is to enforce verification by the site admin so perhaps you need to just check the RP options and turn that off…
