Hey, I have recently had a friend build me a wordpress cms site, and install simplepress forums onto it for me.

However, the forums just dont work when trying to post a topic or post etc, and after contacting someone else i was told the sfjtoggleLayer is not defined. So basically, I then saw in a different post it can be to do with the theme etc, and I do not know how to sort it out myself because I am not very good with all of this technical stuff and my friend is away :P

So if someone can post here and let me know what exactly I have to do, or even possibly do it for me really quickly if I give you access to the hosting cPanel or Wordpress cPanel, whatever you need to get it finished as it is required asap.

You will see on the forums tab that he put a temp forum up for me above it.

I need to get that deleted also.

If someone could sort this out for me I would be over the moon! Let me know and I can give you the details etc or give you contact details.

Many thanks, Harrison.

The first thing you need to look for is the presence of a call to the function wp_footer() which is a mandatory call in the theme footer template but is often left out by theme authors. This could well be the problem…

Thanks, but how exactly do I go about doing this?

And where exactly do I find this file, and where should it be? I do not have a clue as my mate made me the site.

Would you possibly be able to help me do it swordfish?

well in the theme you are using on your site, is a file called footer.php (at least more than likely)…  edit this file and near the bottom, add a call to wp_footer()

thats the problem with posting in existing thread.. usually isnt the same problem…

you can try going to forum – wp integration – page and permalink… and try disabling loading of js in the footer…

if that doent work, please explain your situation… including wp and sp versions…
