I have installed Simple:Press forum on my site, Donna's Dream, everything works fine as i can see apart from image uploading within a post.
I have checked permissions and made sure all upload folders are 777 but i still keep getting the error "Status:406 Error uploading"
I have tried this in firefox, chrome and internet explorer (which has the latest version of flash). i have also tried it on my laptop and my wifes but still get the same problem.
Am i doing something wrong?

You are going to have to ask your hosting support about this one to determine why your server is not accepting the url. Make sure you point out the 406 error code.
There is a strong chance they have imposed mod_security on your account – every developers nightmare. We would be most interested in the response they give you.

by the way – 406 errors are rare. my quick research suggests that mod-security could well be the issue. If you don't know what that is it is special script that hosts can impose on a server that evaluates every url request and tries to match it to a pattern of what they believe are 'rogue' requests intended to damage sites.
