Hi,

I have a problem with my forum. Please take a look at this picture: http://www.lumostar.de/space.gif . On the picture you can see that there is a lot of space between the different objects. Can I delete this space? I'm using the Simplified skin. I hope anybody can help me.

Please write in easy English, because I'm still learning at school. Smile

Your English is coming along well.
We could help more with a link to your site. But… the problem is in your theme CSS. Look for entries for 'table' and 'tr' and 'td'. These are responsible for the gaps and also for the borders you are seeing on the forum.

first, a question…  you are using a skin called simplified… did you create this skin?  or is it a left over from v3.x days?  did you upgrade it to v4 standards?

because it "may" not be compatible with v4 as we dropped support for it..  I would suggest trying out a v4 skin (structure for example) and seeing if it gets better…

it is because your wp theme is adding that margin at the bottom of tables… line 80 in typography.css is adding 1.4em of margin at the bottom of all tables…

not sure if you are using that elsewhere, but its cause so you can try delete it…

There is a lot of table CSS in various stylresheets. This seems to be caused by one called 'reset.css'. Look for

table, td, th {
vertical-align: middle;
}

for a start. But basicaslly both 'reset.css' and 'typography.css' and one called 'default.css' all have various 'table', 'th', 'tr', and 'td' classes defined and they are all having an impact. If your blog soesnlt make use of tables then I would suggest commenting them out until the forum looks right.
