Hi,

Sorry real Newbie here I bet it is really simple but:–

I cannot work out how to change the settings to allow only people who have signed up to post messages but stiill allow Guest to read everyting or how I can set up an e-mail so that I am notified at my home email account of any new members.

I have just downloaded the latest eddition of simplepressfroum to my website http://www.bymyguest.com/ and everything else seams to be fine.

first, suggest visiting our wiki and reading the getting started section. it will walk you through user groups and permissions…

as to the email, registrations are handled by wp and by default wp notifies you of new registrations, so that should be already happening.
