I've been playing with this all night and to start (read: before I whine like a school kid) I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of work done and the level of support here on your site.

Issue #1 is the apparently missing background images in table headers. I've re-uploaded a number of times to be sure all files transfered properly

Issue #2 is the breadcrumbs I'd really prefer them to be horizontal

Issue #3 it just doesn't look as clean to me as I know it should.

This is exactly why I'm playing with it before I go live with the blog again. (made that mistake too)

Any advice?

WP Version: 2.9.1

Theme: Mimbo

Plugins: Contact Form 7, Profiler, Sociable, Twitter Tools, User Photo, WP-Mail-SMTP

That's why it looks weird. Backup the file first, then delete that line, save and refresh (make sure it's no cached).

Issue 2: Check you don't have the breadcrumb option set to "Display As Tree Style" in Froum > Options > Global Display Settings > Breaecrumb Links

issue #3 is also your wp theme… and related to #1… its beating the crap out of table elements… check style.css, line 82 and 90 area, its doing padding, borders, colors, etc to tables and elements… either remove for all or copy and prefeace with #sforum and remove…

OK changing line 551 fixed issues 2 and 3 but the background issue is still defying me.

It seems to be behaving like a path issue. #F5F3EE shows in the css only 2 times. I commented out both of them and no change. There is no other mention of the color relating to a table or a background that I can find.

commenting out

border-top:1px solid #e0ded9;

border-bottom:1px solid #e0ded9;

at line 86 fixed the other issues.

sorry, you pretty much have to download to see the diff themes. we dont have a demo site set up where you can try the diff skins. we do plan to add some images of the different skins on our wiki, but its not done yet.
