I Think this is a bug since your forum is having the same problem, just tested this here. Wink

 

I am subscribed to some topics, but the red square still shows ZERO, if you click the icon you will be able to see that I do have some in there.

Same goes for Watching.

It does not show how many subscriptions you have. It shows you how many new and unread posts have been made in your subscribed topics. (Same for watched).
