Uploading avatars not working help please

Hello I have had to reinstall simple press twice now to try and fix this problem but it still happens. When I click on the select avatar then browse the browse button does nothing, I can't upload any avatars for the forum. It worked the first time In installed it but when I changed to the smoke theme and edited the them skin css all I did was change the background of the skin to transparent to make it fit in more with my site and that is when I got the avatar uploading problem. Sorry if this question has been asked before but I am new here. Thank you for your help.

its going to come down to a js conflict… we would need a link and temp account to help troubleshoot the js conflict… or you could try disablign your other wp plugins and seeing the problem clears.
