How can I add advertisements to on top of the forum as you guys have here?

Cool, so sphead.php is where I need to go to add an add like you guys have up there.

Actually - that particular ad space at the top is added via the WordPress page template and is outside of the forum display. But there is no reason why it could not be within the spHead forum template/. The result would be the same.
