Well they are both notices not errors and unlikely to cause anything major. However they might be caused by the same problem that is causing the display to stop processing. And that really is what you need to resolve before anything else.
So - have you looked at the spTopicView.php forum template yet and tried hunting down the advertising code?

Oh yes! finally! felt like the super hacker for a little while. Then this happened:

Yes - remove the code that has been added or the changes that have been made. This means that there is a bad php coding error somewhere and it needs taking out. I can not tell you what it it is or might be as it is clearly not the original file.

Well I did find a code in it. Took it out. But must have done it wrongly. It do not understand it though. I just reinstalled it so it must mean that if I try and reinstall it again, there will still be that code again. Any chance you could give me a fresh copy of just that file that I could copy and paste in to the editor?

i swopped theme, and all of a sudden it works! Hallelujah!

You can download all available themes from this site do that you can replace the one file you needed to replace.
And when back up working as you want to be we can help advise in how to get the ad code in place and working properly if you want to revisit that.
