I have created a new forum and I can't add a new topic to it.  Actually I can't add a new topic to any of my forums anymore either. We haven't used the forum too much since the end of last year.  I have updated to the newest version and am still having the same issue.  Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like a js conflict. Are you running any new plugins since the end of last year?

Best thing to do is disable all WP plugins and try adding a topic. If it works, you need to activate plugins one at a time to find out which one is causing the issue.

If not, let us know- and pop in a link to your forum..

Thanks for posting a link to your site, when you say you've disabled all plugins, we are talking about WordPress not Simple:Press right?

Just taking a quick look I can see 'Add This' running, which I believe has caused problems in the past.

Did I not see from a screenshot that you have no editor as such? That can result from a few things but most notably if you are running WordPress 3.9 but not the latest Simple:Press (5.5.0) - or - the latest SP but an older WordPress. So check versions ar4 all up to date.

If so then also check SP plugins - in particular the tinyMCE editor plugin.

If I am wrong about you not havign an editor at all then come back and I will think again

I don't have the "Add this" plugin... so I am not sure how it is running and YES I disabled the Wordpress plugins. I also tried disabling the Simple Press TinyMCE plugin but that didn't work either. Then I deactivated all my simplepress plugins and wordpress plugins... at home I get this message "Unable to save No post content entered"

Yellow Swordfish, I am not sure what you mean by I don't have an editor.  I think I know what you mean now.... When I go to add a topic.... I don't have the icons I see above that would let me bold or italicize something. That is what you meaby by editor right? Yes, that is gone. How do I get it back?

I have upgraded to the newest simple press (5.5) and wordpress versions(3.9.1).

Andy was asking what happens when you try to post?  Do you get a full editor, ie line tinymce here with buttons and all... can you click in the editor location and enter text?

It appears your theme is violating wp standardards and loading its own version of jquery instead of using the one that comes with wp...

<script type='text/javascript' src='http://biletnikoffaward.com/wp-content/themes/Karma/truethemes_framework/js/jquery-ui-1.9.2.custom.min.js?ver=1.9.2'></script>

and its quite an old version at that...  Its likely causing conflicts...

you can run a test by doing a quick temp switch to the default wp theme and see if things clear up...
