This is an issue my users reported to me:

So the upload option doesn't seem to work for for me from my office computer. I do know that this is my problem, probably the server or router settings, but it does'nt have to be. When trying to upload…or rather just adding a topic or reply, i get a javascript:void notice. What is it on this forum that would cause that? I'm part of a many other forums but its just the way this one is set up in conjunction with my server settings that it doesn't let me post.

I'm writing this from my tablet on a separate network. Works fine then.

What could it be?

Javascript:void is NOT an error and never has been. I suspect we will end up taking them out as so many seem to think this signifies a problem. It is simply the correct way to format an anchor tag that uses the onclick() event to run some script instead of loading an actual page - it replaces the 'href' in fact.

I assume your user is having an issue because of some sort of firewall. If he can identify what that is and how it is stopping things then we may be able to do something as long as it has no detrimental effect overall.

best is usually a good dev tool for the browser of choice...  best if firefox with firebug...  see what is reported in the console...

is it browser specific?

Until plupload releases their next 2.0 version with IE 10 just drag and drop...  the button doesnt seem to fire the browser... but since it supports html 5, you can just drag and drop the files into the uploader...

not much we can do until its fixed upstream at plupload...

Drag and drop doesn't seams to work in IE 10 either.

well, it does work in IE 10... have tested on numerous sites... so something locally that we will need to resolve... of course, this assumes you are running latest sp (5.2.2) and latest file uploader plugin...

what is the link to your forum so we can look for obvious conflicts?
