This is my first post and I thank you guys for the help. I uploaded the post thanks plugin and activated it but nothing shows up in the forums. How do you enable this plugin and actually use it?

That plugin requires the installation of it’s special template functions which allow the Forum Admin to decide where to place each component of the system.  These functions are installed into your Simple:Press Forum Theme files.

Before installing this plugin and changing your Simple:Press theme we recommend you create a custom theme first. Information on installing custom themes are located on our Creating a Theme page.

See the codex article on examples of config, setup and how to add the template functions.

Thanks a lot Brandon, good to know $40 comes with some support. This probably isn't the right spot but I'm looking for some help redesigning my forum to be a little easier on the eye and easier to navigate. Not much just probably a few hours for a pro. Thanks again, here's the site

Not only support but also the plugins and the access to the codex info. :)

Regarding your site. It looks like you are using the forum as your home page. The problem is that your menu tab at the top that says "home" and the one in the forum that says the same shows 2 different page links.

As a guest I can't see any of the forum list or topics. So it appears there are some configuration options not set correctly or some other issue is causing them not to display right.

It might be a good idea for you to view the site as a guest and see what works or doesn't. Then as a regular member too. I would make sure all that works as expected and then come back and look at a custom theme and layout.

When ready you can click on the "Need a Custom Simple:Press Theme" ad on the right sidebar here and there are some samples and a contact form where you can request more info.

Right on I will look into the custom themes tomorrow. Yes I set the forum so that guests cannot see the posts, since then I have many new registered members, before that it was nothing but lurkers. I will change that back when the site grows. Thanks for your input looking forward to working with you and this forum.

Thanks again

That sounds like a plan. There a lots of Android type mini pc and other devices out there so I can see the need for some special forums dedicated to them. Let us know how it goes and if you need any help with Simple:Press we are always here to assist!
