Hi,

I have installed MyCred but the image is not displaying. When I go to the plugin folder the image is there.

wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/mycred/resources/images

sp_mycred.png

But for some reason it don't want to pull the image.

How can I fix that?

If you can confirm that the image file is there and is correct then it might be a permissions issue. Check the permissions on the file and folder. Folder should be 755 and file 644. It would be unusual for it not to be right but sometimes servers do trip up on such things

Hi Yellow Swordfish,

I have looked at the permission every folder was already on 755 and the file itself was already on 644.

Can I try something else to fix it?

I should have asked of course... have you actually added the template tag to your template? Details here:

https://simple-press.com/docum.....tegration/

If you have and still do not see it paste the function call here so we can take a look at it

I haven't done that yet. I can't really follow the explanation on that page. I have a custom child theme. I need to place the sp_MyCred template in the spHead.php file?

Or do I need to create a new php file?

In the example it says spGroupView.php but my child theme don't have that file so I need to create a new one?

It's due to the way child themes work. If it doesn't contain spGroupView.php then it will use the spGroupView.php that belongs to the parent theme - In this case 'default'.

If you ever need to change anything in the future from a template that your child theme doesn't contain, you can just copy the template from the parent - so just copy 'default' themes spGroupView.php and place it in your child themes template folder - then make your changes.

However, I have the tooltip fix in place for your theme and have to send that over anyway, so I can include a template with the MyCred template tag. Did you want it to appear as the example suggests?

Hi Ike,

Thank you for the explanation.

Yeah what the example suggest is fine for me.

Thank you all for the fast replies (still figuring out the simple press forum).

After that Ike has send me the theme the mycred image still didn't show up.

The MyCred in the forum itself still doesn't want to pull the image from the theme.

When you go to:

under the profile you see the text mycred image and then 0. the still image doesn't want to show up and I have checked the file location it is in the correct map in png format (I have looked in the image it was nothing special but the cross in IE or broken image file in Chrome is ugly).

can it be a hosting related issue for the reason it doesn't want to show the image?

Odd. It looks like the image name has been changed at some point.

Change the name of the image file from 'sp_mycred.png' to 'sp_MyCred.png'

And I will change the file name when next updated

Thanks that solved the problem :).

And for Ike I had replied in the email you can ignore that I will now go test the recent topic/forum lay-out changes:
