Depending on your php ini settings that could just be enough to blow the POST variable limit. I will see if I can find anything out...

if you can update your php.ini file, might be interesting to see what happens if you increased post_max_size or max_input_vars (php 5.3.9+)... think the default 1000 and rather small if large form submitted....
